My developmental editor introduced me to the concept of "Killing your darlings" and it led to removing Spacewalker's prologue.

I used Great Stories Don't Tell Themselves by Larry Brooks to develop a Story Validation Checklist and give myself confidence in my third draft.

Thanks to some tough love from a beta reader, I set out to better myself as a writer over the second and third drafts of Spacewalker.

As I reached the end of writing my first draft, I asked myself: Who will live? Who will die? And why haven't I already figured this out?

My first experience sharing my work with beta readers wasn't as straightforward for them, or me, as anticipated.

In late 2017, I stepped into the light and came clean with my friends about my writing journey.
